Project Description
The client wished to demolish the existing out-dated farmhouse and instructed us to design a new replacement house of a more contemporary design and equipped with modern comforts. Once our outline design was successful in being granted planning permission, we developed the design in full, ready for construction.
The new house design incorporated a double height central family room, with a galleried landing above to take in the far-reaching rural views through the full height oak framed windows. Other features gave a nod to the farmhouse style, such as a large kitchen with walk-in larder and spacious cloaks/boot room. All interior elements were specified to comply with new building regulations, such as 100% low energy lighting. Design layouts and selections were produced for the kitchen, utility and all the bathrooms and specification given for all interior finishes. We commissioned computer-generated images of the design to illustrate to the client how the finished home will look.
