Owner Petra Hughes lives in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire with her daughter, and is all too aware of the benefits in making a home work to it’s full potential, adapting it to the changing demands of family life and social occasions.
Petra spent a period living in Hong Kong, where she worked with interior design houses and hotels. Returning to the UK, Petra studied for a diploma in interior design and was awarded distinction. She has worked in the house design field for the past 10 years since, for both private clients and property developers, on projects large and small, as well as completing several projects of her own.
Petra worked closely with a property developer as a freelance designer on numerous prestigious developments, and was subsequently recruited to the team as their sole designer for several years to work exclusively on their properties. She gained in depth experience in all areas of the property building process, from creating the initial designs through to the finished houses prepared for sale.
Petra is practised in visualising how a space can be made to flow and work better. Her projects have always been praised for their great attention to detail, whether a new house from scratch, or remodelling and breathing new life into an awkward property, from large spacious new builds to creating space within smaller homes. Her renovation project Greys Road was selected to feature in a review in The Times.
